You can find the app in the Google Play or App Store under E-Trailer. <span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">Once you have installed the app, you need to create a user account. Check <\/span><a style=\"font-style: inherit;background-color: #ffffff\" href=\"https:\/\/support.e-trailer.nl\/en\/other\/other-support\/other-account\/\">here<\/a> how you do this.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">If you have a system from one of the manufacturers we work with, you may need to use the manufacturer\u2019s app to read the readings.<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/support.e-trailer.nl\/en\/#fabrikanten\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here on your brand<\/a> <span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">to see more information about the system you have.<\/span><\/p><h3>Update app<\/h3><p>Updating the app is done in the Google Play or App Store and not in the app itself. This is because when you click update in the app, it looks for updates to the software on the Starter Package and not the app itself.<br><b><u>NOTE: for the app to work properly, it is important that you always install an update on all the devices you want to connect to your system.<\/u><\/b><br>How do you check if you have the latest version of the app installed? This is done as follows:<\/p><h4>Android<\/h4><ol><li>Go to the Google Play Store and search for the E-Trailer app (<em>E-Trailer &#8211; Safe and comfortable on the road<\/em>).<\/li><li>When you click on the app, you will see whether you can <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>Update<\/em><\/span> or <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>Open<\/em><\/span> the app.<\/li><li>If it says Update, you do not yet have the latest version.<\/li><li>Click on update and install the update. You will need an internet connection (WiFi or 4\/5G).<\/li><li>You can also see here what has changed in the newer version of our app and when this update became available.<\/li><\/ol><h4>iOS<\/h4><ol><li>Go to the App Store and search for the E-Trailer app (<em>E-Trailer &#8211; SMART-Trailer<\/em>).<\/li><li>Click on the app. You can see whether an update is ready, or whether you have installed the latest version.<\/li><li>Click on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>UPDATE<\/em><\/span> if you can. You do this, by closing the app completely.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit;color: var( --e-global-color-text );font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif\">Close the app<\/span><br><\/li>\n<li>Also, make sure that the app is no longer open in the background (active apps). On the internet you can find how to completely close open apps on your type of phone<\/li>\n<li>When you restart the app, the data will be updated. Any modules that are removed will no longer be visible.<\/li>\n<li>If old settings remain visible (Android), it is advisable to completely reset the settings of the app. This will reset all settings of the app and erase the history of all data. The calibration values remain available, however. You will need to give permission again to use the camera and Bluetooth (pairing) and you will need to log in again.\n<ul>\n<li>Go to settings on your phone and find the apps<\/li>\n<li>Click on the E-Trailer app<\/li>\n<li>Click on Storage and then on Clear data and cache (how this is indicated varies per brand)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you think the app is not responding properly or has even stalled, it is best to delete the app and reinstall it from the Google Play or App Store.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1a983c0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-menu-anchor\" data-id=\"1a983c0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"menu-anchor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-menu-anchor\" id=\"instellingen\"><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f618a52 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f618a52\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>General app settings<\/h3><ul><li><strong>Change language preference<\/strong><br>In the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>General Settings<\/em><\/span> in the app, you can change the app&#8217;s <i><u>language<\/u><\/i> under Language. Choose the correct language. The app will temporarily display a grey screen. Then you will automatically go to the main screen and the language will be changed. The app is available in Dutch, German, English and French.<\/li><li><strong>The screen keeps going into sleep mode<br \/>I<\/strong>f you want your screen to stay on at all times whilst driving, you can set this in the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>General settings<\/em><\/span> by adjusting the slider under \u2018<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>Screen timeout<\/em><\/span>\u2019. <\/li><\/ul><h3>Notifications<\/h3><p>Preferences for general notifications can be done under <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">General Settings<\/span><\/em>:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Telephone Notifications<\/strong><br>Please provide a maximum of 3 telephone numbers here. If anything happens to your account or vehicle, a push notification may be sent.<\/li><li><strong>Email Notifications<\/strong><br>Please enter an email address where we can contact you in the event of any issues with your account.<\/li><\/ul><p>If you want to enable or disable notifications from the various modules, do so in the settings of the respective module. See the module <em>Settings <\/em>section for how to do this. <\/p><h3>Clean up software<\/h3><p>Do you use clean up software to keep your phone clean? It is possible that this software removes the settings and data from our app. You may then have to recalibrate every time. Check the settings of the app in question to see if you can make exceptions.<\/p><h3>Input fields not accessible<\/h3><p>If you have extra-large font set on your phone, you may not be able to enter data in an input field during calibration. It&#8217;s then best to adjust the size in your phone (not in our app), so you can at least continue calibrating. See the phone&#8217;s user manual or your operating system how to do this.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6c4e2cf elementor-widget elementor-widget-menu-anchor\" data-id=\"6c4e2cf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"menu-anchor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-menu-anchor\" id=\"feedback\"><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-756cdc3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"756cdc3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Send feedback <\/h2><p>Sometimes things do not work as expected. Then <a href=\"https:\/\/support.e-trailer.nl\/en\/contact\/\">contact<\/a> E-Trailer or send a status report. This is done as follows:<\/p><ol><li>Make sure you have a stable internet connection.<\/li><li>Make sure you are connected to your system via Bluetooth and that it is switched on.<\/li><li>Go to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>General settings<\/em><\/span><\/li><li>Click on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>Help<\/em><\/span><\/li><li>Click the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>Send Feedback<\/em><\/span> button.<\/li><li>A pop-up appears. Please enter your problem briefly and click on send.<\/li><\/ol><p>A status report is sent by your system to our Customer Support department. We may be able to see in it exactly what is happening.
