Transferring system

2nd Hand system

You have bought a second-hand E-Trailer system and want to install it in your camping vehicle? Chances are, the system is still registered to the previous owner. More information can be found on the page about purchasing 2nd hand system.

Own system

Do you want to transfer your own system to a new caravan or motorhome? This is very simple. Please follow the next steps:

  1. Remove the Starter Package Plus from your old vehicle.
  2. Place the Starter Package Plus in your new vehicle and reconnect to the battery.
  3. Login to your account in the E-Trailer app and connect to the Starter Package Plus.
  4. You will still see all modules in your account. They are still connected to your the Starter Package Plus, they just need to be recalibrated.
  5. Mount & install all modules you want to take with you.
  6. Finally, you may need to recalibrate some modules. Below is an overview of the modules and how to reset them.

Resetting modules

E-Gaslevel
Go to settings, Sensors tab and click Unlink sensor(s) and remove data. Then follow the steps in the app.

E-Level
Go to settings, General tab and click Recalibrate. Then follow the steps in the app.
For specific settings, see the E-Level settings page.

E-Load
Go to settings, Sensor tab and click Unlink all sensors and install again. Then follow the steps in the app.

E-Pressure
Go to settings, General tab and click Unlink all sensors and install again. Then follow the steps in the app.

E-Switch
Go to settings, General tab and click Recalibrate. Then follow the steps in the app.
For specific settings, see the E-Switch settings page.

E-Temperature
Turn off your E-Temperature(s).
Go to settings, General tab and click Reinstall – Unlink all sensors and install again. You will be taken back into the calibration process immediately after removal.

E-Volt
You can change the battery information in settings, Battery tab. To do so, click on Edit.

E-Waterlevel
Go to settings, General tab and click Reinstall. Then follow the steps in the app.

E-Track&Trace
 You can adjust display and notifications in settings only.

Replacing faulty Starter Package Plus

For the time being, a defective Starter Package Plus can only be exchanged in the app by E-Trailer. Please contact E-Trailer for this.

After the Starter Package Plus has been exchanged by E-Trailer in the app, the following must be done when connecting the new System:

  1. Insert the new Starter Package Plus and reconnect the system to the battery.
  2. Follow the next steps in the app:
    • Open the app, go to General settings and log out.
    • Close the app completely, including in the background.
    • Restart the app and log in again.
      It is also possible to remove and reinstall the app completely. This immediately installs the latest version of the app.
  3. The Starter Package Plus is now activated in your account.
  4. The subscription is linked to your account, when re-activating the E-Track&Trace, choose ‘I already have an Account’. The system will check itself via the Internet whether this is correct and will give you access again. More information can be found on the Subscription page.

Then all the modules that you have installed in your caravan must be reconnected. Do this as described in Transferring the system.
